XMUM Wins IChemE Student Chapter Award 2020
XMUM IChemE Student Chapter, the youngest IChemE student chapter in Malaysia, was announced as the Winner of the IChemE Student Chapter Award 2020 during the first-ever IChemE virtual Malaysia Awards ceremony on 19 October 2020.
According to IChemE Malaysia, XMUM IChemE Student Chapter is “an impressive programme of student-led outreach activities which enhances chemical engineering students’ technical knowledge and builds their leadership and teamwork skills”.
Established in 2018, XMUM IChemE Student Chapter is the XMUM branch of the Institution of Chemcial Enginnners (IChemE), a multi-national professional engineering body based in UK. Throughout the past two years, it has organized various activities, such as experiencing food and palm oil processing in action during industrial site visits, and promoting sustainability through presenting solutions to plastic pollution at the ‘IChemE Assemble – Think Sustainable’ event.
