The PEOs are to produce graduates who: -

  1. Graduates with the capability to discover, integrate in-depth knowledge and apply competent practical, digital and numeracy skills in resolving problems in the frontier of chemical engineering and related fields.
  2. Graduates with strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work effectively with peers, scholarly communities and stakeholders, while displaying leadership qualities in various events or their professional careers.
  3. Graduates with esteem ethical values, uphold professionalism and integrity in providing innovative products/services, and pursuing life-long personal and sustainable developments.

At the end of the programme, graduates are able to:

  1. Knowledge and Understanding - Demonstrate in-depth understanding of frontier knowledge by generating substantial and original contributions to the chemical engineering field of research.
  2. Cognitive Skills - Appraise existing information critically and apply knowledge creatively in one or more discipline areas to discover research problems, and develop new concepts or interpretations or applications in solving the problems.
  3. Practical Skills - Conduct rigorous and independent research or investigation competently by using comprehensive technical skills, with minimal supervision.
  4. Interpersonal Skills - Work collaborative with peers, and interact well with scholarly communities and general audience.
  5. Communication Skills - Exchange ideas and convey research findings effectively through oral and written communication to peers, scholarly communities and society at large.
  6. Digital Skills - Select and use appropriate digital tools/techniques to solve research problems.
  7. Numeracy Skills - Perform critical evaluation of numerical data using mathematical model, statistical tools or graphical methods.
