Welcoming New Students to the Chemical Engineering (CME) Programme at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM)
We are delighted to welcome a new cohort of students to the CME programme at XMUM. Following the academic briefing held on 10 April 2026, a Freshers Party was successfully organized on 1 April 2026 to warmly receive the incoming students. The event featured light refreshments and a specially designed CME keychain as a welcome gift.
The programme commenced with an opening speech by Ir. Dr. Oh Kai Siang, who will serve as the mentor for the students throughout their academic journey. This was followed by a series of engaging ice-breaking activities and experience-sharing sessions conducted by a team of dedicated CME students, led by Johnyong Jocelyn Valentine, Eujie Law, and Zhang Yunyi.
The event concluded on a high note, made possible through the generous financial support of the XMUM-CME programme fund. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Moo May Yee and Carrine (secretary team), Edina Maria Queentabella (emcee), Chua Zhee He (photographer), as well as Choy Jian Xuan, Keevan Krishn, and Maria Tan (senior sharing) for their invaluable contributions and support in making this event a success.
