Master in NESE Viva Voce Announcement: Congratulations to Mr Ng Chee Hong (MEG2204003)

The School is pleased to announce that Mr Ng Chee Hong (MEG2204003) from Master in New Energy Science and Engineering has passed his viva voce with Major Correction held on 18th Aug 2026.
Eugene defended his Master dissertation "Application of Improved Aquila Optimizer in Maximum Power Point Tracking of Wind Energy Conversion Systems" or "改进型猎鹰优化器在风能转换系统最大功率点跟踪中的应用研究" under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr Tan Jian Ding. His work was recently accepted for publication in Neural Computing and Applications, an SCI-indexed journal with an Impact Factor of 4.5
In this viva, the Internal Examiner was Asst. Prof. Dr. Dr Mohammadmahdi Ariannejad (School of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics) and the External Examiners were Dr Chen Chai Phing (UNITEN) & Dr Lim Chin Wai (UNITEN). The Chair was Assoc. Prof. Dr Zulkifly Bin Abbas and the secretary was Ms. Crystal Lee Ka Yin.
