Master in NESE Viva Voce Announcement: Congratulations to Mr Chang Yu Heng (MEG2306001)
The School is pleased to announce that Mr Chang Yu Heng (MEG2306001) from Master in New Energy Science and Engineering has passed his viva voce with Minor Correction held on 3rd October 2025.
Yu Heng defended his Master dissertation "Catalytic Microwave Co-Pyrolysis of Plastic and Sludge Waste: Product Quantification, Characterization, Energy Analysis and Optimization Study" or "塑料和污泥废弃物的催化微波共热解：产物定量、表征、能量分析和优化研究" under the supervision of Asst Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr Mong Guo Ren. His work has been published in several SCI-indexed journals:
Journal of Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis (IF: 6.2), Energy (IF: 9.4) etc
In this viva, the Internal Examiner was Assistant Professor Dr. Ngan Cheng Loong and the External Examiners were Dr. Nor Alafiza Binti Yunus (UTM) and Prof. Ir. Dr. Wan Azlina binti Wan Abdul Karim Ghani (UPM). The Chair was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gan Wee Chen and the secretary was Ms. Crystal Lee Kar Yin.
