Renewable and Clean Energy - Xiamen University

Renewable and clean energy research focuses on developing sustainable alternatives to traditional fossil fuels, aiming to mitigate climate change and reduce environmental impact. Within this cluster, we are dedicated to advancing intelligent energy devices that optimize energy usage, distribution, and management. Exploring materials in sensors, triboelectric, piezoelectric, and/or their combination, we contribute to innovations for IoT, smart wearable devices, and sensor applications. From smart grids to IoT-enabled energy systems, our research aims to transform how energy is harvested, transmitted, and consumed in modern society, driving efficiency and sustainability forward. Moreover, our research focuses on developing cutting-edge electrochemical technologies for energy storage, conversion, and beyond. By understanding fundamental electrochemical processes, we aim to pave the way for more efficient energy utilization and storage solutions that have high potential in electric vehicle and mobile battery industries development. From improving the efficiency of photovoltaic cells and wind turbines to developing advanced battery technologies and smart grid systems, this research is instrumental in transitioning towards a more sustainable and resilient energy infrastructure.
