XMUM Researchers Among Top Scholars by ScholarGPS
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates six XMUM researchers who have been ranked among the leading researchers by ScholarGPS for their exceptional performances in various fields, disciplines and specialties. Prof. Ong Wee Jun and Prof. Huang Nay Ming, both from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, have been honored as Highly Ranked Scholars by ScholarGPS, placed in the top 0.05% of researchers worldwide in their fields. Prof. Ong, the Director of Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy and Catalysis Technology (CONNECT), achieved a remarkable ranking of No. 4 for his lifetime contributions to the field of graphitic carbon nitride. Prof. Huang, with over 200 published journals, was ranked No. 17 on the list of highly ranked scholars - lifetime in the field of graphite oxide.
Prof. Ong Chong Kim, Head of Department of Physics, has also been recognized as a Top Scholar - Lifetime, underscoring the profound impact and exceptional quality of his research. Additionally, Prof. Ong Wee Jun, Prof. Zhang Yingqian (School of Electrical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence), Prof. Yeap Swee Keong (China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miraz Mahdi Hassan (School of Computing and Data Science) have been acknowledged as being in the top 0.5% of scholars globally over the past five years in their respective research areas.
