About Me

Dr. Yvonne is an organic chemist with experience in synthesizing photoactive organic molecules and polymers. Her research interests revolve around the design and development of new smart materials (stimuli responsive/ shape-memory polymers) for use in, but not limited to, 4D-Printing and energy applications. Besides research, she is passionate about teaching/science outreach and have garnered several awards over the years. She is driven to inspire the next generation through teaching and be engaged in exciting research contributing to the world’s needs. She looks forward to work hand-in-hand with other researchers in the field.
