About Me

Dr. Havid is an Assistant Professor at School of Energy and Chemical Engineering (SECE), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) since March 2022. His research expertise lies in the development of surface chemistry for Colloidal Quantum Dots (CQD) or Nanocrystals (NC), from CQD Synthesis to Photovoltaic Device Application and Characterization. During the last several years, he has published 14 papers in high impact journals, which rank in the top 1% based on CiteScore. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Young Scientist Grant (Sinjin Yeongu) from the South Korea National Research Foundation 2020 - 2022. Additionally, his fabricated solar cells achieved a world record efficiency of 18.10% in the Quantum Dot Cells category in the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) chart.
