About Me
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Swee Tiam is the Associate Professor and Assistant Dean at School of Energy and Chemical Engineering (SECE), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM). He is also the Founding Director of the Kelip-kelip! Center of Excellence for Light Enabling Technologies. He is a recipient of Returning Expert Programme - TalentCorp Malaysia and National Outstanding Researcher Award. He has more than 20 years of research experience on Optoelectronic Epitaxial Materials, Devices and Physics. He has successfully executed several large-scale research projects (>10 projects, ~US$40 million) and published over 115 journal publications with h-index of 43. His scientific research work has generated a strong IP portfolio (> 30 international patents) and a spin-off company.
